Cinema is a great medium in the creative industry to innovate with financing and create value as far as Africa is concerned. First it brings together many sectors and many activities, secondly it's expensive for poor countries, thirdly with the star system, cinema is able to generate its own publicity and therefore the sustanability of the concept.
The community of actors and crew is made of different type of people. Our target is those who are into fair trade, environment...

Because we don't want to make raw Gifts-Payments to talents, we are working with a network of some of the best craftsmen in the world using metals, stones, woods... that would transform the raw material to a valuable gift as payment to the talents. We are working the sector of Food, fashion, construction, decoration, luxury... with designers, jewellers...
Raw Material

MINING FOR MINDS is starting with 3 categories of paiements: Raw Materials, People, Culture and Travels, Food and Natural Products. Beyond the cast and crew, Germans local firms will be invited to support the production in exchange of Akom 2 resources. For example a German carpenter could provide cash in exchange of a valuable tree he could use as wood. The co-producers agree to break down their budget not just in cash but also into needs as far as labor, meals, locations, nuity props, trips... and it is those needs that will be addressed..
people are poor despite their activities in gold and diamonds mining, agriculture, traditions... At the same time international firms are exploiting the resources.
